Werewolf Filter: A Full Werewolf Transformation From One Photo
The werewolf filter in the Ginly AI app turns one photo into a short transformation video: fur, pointed ears and fangs break through while your arms swell and your T-shirt tears. The effect is called Werewolf Rage, and it works best with a single photo of you from the head to the waist. There's no prompt to think up and no editing to do.
- In the app: Werewolf Rage
- Available on: iPhone, iPad and Android
What happens in the video
The preview opens on a young man in a grey-blue T-shirt and jeans sitting on a wooden park bench, trees behind him, with a slight smile. He looks down, then grabs his head with both hands as his arms thicken. Fur spreads over his face, pointed ears rise from his hair and his shirt rides up. He lurches forward with a wolfish face, a thick mane and bared fangs while the T-shirt splits open across a furry chest. He ends hunched toward the camera, snarling, his shoulders and arms now huge. The whole clip runs about 5 seconds.
How to make it with Ginly AI
- In Ginly AI, open the Effects tab and choose Animal & Nature Effects; the werewolf lives there rather than with the horror effects.
- Select Werewolf Rage and add a photo that shows you from the head to at least the waist, taken with the camera or picked from your gallery. Crop it so your arms stay in the frame.
- Press Generate, which uses credits. The transformation is created in your Library, and a notification can let you know when it's done.
- Play the result, save the MP4 to your phone, or send it on through the share sheet.
Tips for the best result
- Keep both arms and your chest in the photo. In this effect the arms bulk up and the shirt tears, and a face-only crop cuts all of that out.
- Wear a plain, fitted T-shirt like the one in the preview so the tear across the chest reads clearly; results vary with other clothes.
- Use a photo someone else took, or a timer shot, so your hands are free and visible instead of holding the phone.
- Sitting is fine, as the preview starts on a bench, but leave space around you for the wider shoulders and the lunge forward.
- Light your face evenly, because the fur, ears and fangs are built around your features.
Ideas to try
- Full-moon post: share it on the night of the next full moon with a caption like "every month, same problem" and an AI label.
- Gym-joke progress clip: the shirt-ripping bulk-up is a ready-made punchline for a joke before-and-after post, clearly labelled as AI.
- Monster double act: pair your werewolf with a friend's zombie filter clip, made from their own photo and with their OK, for a two-monster Halloween AI trend post.
Frequently asked questions
Which app makes the werewolf filter video?
Ginly AI, available for iPhone, iPad and Android, makes this AI werewolf video. Look for Werewolf Rage in the Animal & Nature Effects category; it isn't grouped with the horror effects.
Is the werewolf filter free to try?
Yes: the app is free to download, new accounts may receive free starter credits, and a daily credit gift may also be on offer. Each werewolf video still uses credits, and ongoing credits come with weekly subscription plans (subscribers can add credit packs). These offers can change.
Is it a werewolf face filter or a full transformation?
A full one. Besides fur, pointed ears and fangs on the face, the arms and shoulders grow and the T-shirt rips open across a furry chest, which is why a photo that shows your upper body works best.
Do I need a prompt for the werewolf transformation?
No. Werewolf Rage already holds the instructions for the change, so there is no text box at all: the photo you add is the only input.
Can I make it without signing up?
Yes. Tap Continue as Guest on the login screen and you can start creating; signing in with an account is optional. Logging out of a guest account loses that account's videos, so download the ones you want to keep.
Can I turn a friend into a werewolf?
If they are an adult and they've said yes. Ask before using anyone else's photo, don't use the clip to mock or mislead people, and add an AI label when you post it. Monster effects aren't for photos of children, and Ginly AI is an 18+ app.
